The same applies if your stylist calls off and you have an event/engagement to attend that day. For example, you will not be compensated for BEING cancelled or for the stylist leaving before your appointment. Ironically, there are no policies or protections for YOU as a customer. The logic is also that by adhering to the schedule, everyone is in and out timely and receives a specific amt of time allotted just for them. This is how they believe they keep the salon running smoothly and according to schedule. It is important to note that Penzone has policies in place that will allow them to charge you for missing/cancelling/being late to your appt. It ended up taking me an entire week (and several calls) before I got to speak with her manager and/or reschedule the appointment. After purchasing hair there for a new extension install for the both of us (which was a little over $1K), the stylist cancelled our appointment…but not in advance. I typically spend several hundred a month at Penzone for extension maintenance, color, etc., for both my daughter and I. Recently rebooked after a long sabbatical.
